With more than 30 years of Technology experience, Andre was formerly the CIO & CISO at Algoma University and previous to that Vice President of IT at MaRS Discovery District, where he served as Chief Information Security Officer and Chief Privacy Officer. With more than 25 years of experience leading diverse technology teams, André has led significant ERP, privacy and cybersecurity strategy and implementation projects and is well versed in both the infrastructure and architecture of AI, cyber security, and data management.
André has a proven track record in technology leadership across various sectors, including corporate enterprises, real estate, education and not-for-profit organizations in both startup and mature businesses. His career spans roles at prominent organizations such as Unilever, CIBC, Brookfield Real Estate Services, Sirius Satellite Radio, Hyundai Auto Canada, CIFAR, MaRS and Algoma University. He also brings valuable entrepreneurial experience from his time in the IT managed services industry.
As an experienced technology leader, André combines strategic vision with practical implementation to ensure robust IT infrastructure, effective cybersecurity protocols, and strong privacy governance.
